Christmas is such a special time. The Wheresoever Lilongwe Team in Malawi chose to spend it with a group of mature ladies at their mission base, blessing them with small Christmas gifts. The day before on Christmas Eve, they visited a prison with around 1,500 ladies and shared the Gospel and again some small Christmas gifts. This is a brief report from WSE Lilongwe leader Moses.
Hello Pastor Danny. This is how it was today at Wheresoever Mission base in Lilongwe. Celebrating with the elderly people. And Yesterday we went to the prison and they were so happy but unfortunately they refused us to take pictures. We will do the follow-up next month.
Thank you for your support and prayers.
God bless you so much.
Before that report, you may this communication interesting. It was during the preparation for the prison visit and will give you an idea of what kind of Christmas gifts are valued.
Hello pastor Danny Bravo. Hope you are fine. Today i went to the prison just to have an actual number of prisoners. In total there are 1,500 prisoners and these are just women and we have decided to go for women because men are many and it would cost more than we can afford at this time.
So the following is the budget.
1. Soya Pieces = 170 000 K.
2. Sugar = 550 000 K.
3. Bathing Soap = 450 000 K.
4. Body lotion = 400 000 K.
5. Rice = 350 000 K.
6. Washing Soap = 250 000 K.
7. Fuel / transport = 200 000 K.
Total = 2 320 000 K.
They have given us 24th December because on Christmas it's a busy day.
Then, celebrating the New Year, this time with the elderly in a nearby village.
Shalom Pastor Danny. Hope you are fine there.
On 1st January, the Wheresoever team went out for celebrations with elderly people in a certain village called Kaphala around here in Lilongwe.
